Uses of Isotretinoin

Isotretinoin powder is mainly used for severe cystic acne and acne that does not improve with other treatment methods. A significant number of dermatologists also advocate its use for less severe acne cases that have shown resistance to other therapies or may result in physical or psychological scarring. However, it is not advisable for the treatment of prepubertal acne and is not recommended for children under 12 years old.

It is also effective against purulent sweat glands and some severe cases of acne rosacea. It can assist in treating harlequin ichthyosis, flaky ichthyosis, and in cases of pigmented dry skin disease, it can alleviate keratosis.
